Elena's first girl only party and it was out of this world! The slack line (above) was a huge hit.

Elena and Emma began preschool at SDSU on the same day and ironically
shared their last day together also. During our two years at the
preschool, a group of us became friends. The kids are friends and us
moms get out together every few months for some adult time.
The theme was rainbow paint party. Of course there were rainbow colors everywhere. There were canvases set up for the girls to paint. The cupcakes were set on a painter's palette with decorations in the dips so the kids could decorate their own. Such a cute idea!
No birthday seems complete without the obligatory pinata...in rainbow :) Elena took a few good swings at the pinata. She was very deliberate, striking hard from the top down. It's a good thing she was at the end of the line. Emma came up and finished it off. We might have to start blind folding Elena.
Airbrush tattoos!
Showing off her tattoo with a little bit of spirit!
And there was zip-lining.
Emma throwing her tattoo at Elena.
And Elena responding with her own tattoos. Nothing like a tattoo fight while waiting in line for another zip-line ride.
So much fun to ride.
In line with June, getting ready for another ride.
I think the girls could have rode on the zip-line all day.
Well, maybe it was a toss up between the zip-line and the slack line.
Either way, a lot of fun was had. Notice Elena's legs also have tattoos. She had 3 by the time the tattoo artist left.
Even Charlie had fun. And I'm loving my new carrier.
Goodbyes are hard but Emma shared her birthday crown with Elena before hugging her and saying good bye.
So you ask, what about Charlie? Charlie is doing great. He is standing with assistance, loving to stick out his tongue and starting to coordinate moving his feet while standing. He is also cutting tooth number 6 which means a lot less sleep for us.
