Day Trip to LA

On our way up to see the LA Galaxy, we stopped at a beach in Dana Point.  Cute beach with a lot of stairs and a steep ramp to go down but it was worth it.

 Such a beautiful day!
 Counting sailboats
Hanging out, chewing on fingers :)
 Walking back to the ramp.
We made it to the soccer game!
Umm...do you think these kids are related?  I think they have the same facial expression.
 A slightly better picture.
Somebody was just not in the mood for pictures, nothing new there.
The most exciting goal was goal #2.  Above Robbie Keane (#7) is passing the ball to Landon Donovan (#10).  Donovan put the ball in the net for his 135th goal in the MLS.  He broke the record for all time goals.
Everyone was so excited for him.
I still can't believe Donovan won't be playing in the World Cup this year.  The coach made a serious error here.  Donovan scored 2 goals and had an assist on the first goal.  Such an awesome soccer player, team player and leader.  I've love watching him play.
The kids enjoyed their own company.  They did not enjoy the abrupt loudness the ensued when LA scored a goal.  Of course the Galaxy had to score 4 times (a lot for soccer).  Every time, Elena covered her ears and despite me covering his ears, Charlie screamed.

Although it appears like Elena is enjoying the game, I'm not sure what she is looking at.  You can see from Carl's head position, the players are at the other end of the stadium.
We had a great time.  Charlie has been doing awesome with doing his poop in the potty.  The past few days I thought he was figuring out how to hold it.  He would make some noise like he had to go potty but we would be in the car.  No accidents, he held it until we were home.  Today, we brought the potty with us and I put him on there several times but nothing.  He didn't go in his diaper either.  He held it all day.  Now here's hoping he doesn't have a tummy ache tomorrow :)
