Hard to believe it has been 5 years since this bundle of inquiry and light entered our lives.

I think she may have wished for 5 birthday celebrations...that is what she had this year!

Elena's preschool celebrates birthdays and the parents bring in a special treat. This preschool seems very pro jello, rice krispies, etc. Not quite my speed; instead we cut watermelon into stars.
The stars were a huge hit and the teacher appreciated not serving a sugary snack to the kids the day after Easter.
And Elena's teacher, Ms. Amanda, made her a cute crown to wear for the day. She felt very special today :)
