Letter of the Day

Today Elena said her first letter: W (sounds like dubbie) during our ABC song.  She also picked up a new animal noise: hoo-hoo.  She says it in almost a whisper at first.  Elena is just a sponge right now.  It is hard to keep up with all the new stuff she does.  As a sponge, she absorbs everything everyone says...watch out!  Her favorite phrase right now might be "oh, no"; she says this instead of uh-oh.

Today we celebrated a friend's birthday and there was a surprise guest, Winnie the Pooh!  Oh what fun the kids had with him.

 

This was soon after we arrived; Elena was still taking everything and everyone in.

 

Once she crawled in the tunnel, she didn't want to climb out!  And for the record, Elena doesn't like the feel of grass or fake turf, go figure.

Elena made a new friend, a 4 year old boy.  He was just cracking her up; they both had a great time playing.
