Avocado Monster

In the past 17-1/2 months, have I ever mentioned how much Elena enjoys eating????

Tonight she smashed avocado on her belly, up her arms and in her hair.  She also stashed a handful inside her booster chair for later.  I had to share a few pictures.  Elena does know how to use a fork but would rather shove food in her mouth by hand.  Her motto seems to be to get the most amount of food in her mouth in the least amount of time.  Or as a friend said as she watch Elena inhale food, "she eats like a boy".

In the past couple of days, Elena has been putting her fingers in her mouth...well just on her top front teeth.  She was doing it again while I was taking pictures but her fingers slipped.  She looks a little funny, but you can finally see her little teeth!

In other Elena news, she started mooing this morning while eating cereal.  I realized this was her way of asking for yogurt since there is a picture of a cow on the yogurt container.  The milk has the same cow image but she doesn't moo for milk, she just tries to open the fridge.  Such a silly little girl, but at least consistent. 

Elena is also trying to say her name on a regular basis.  It usually sounds like "nay-na" or "nay-nay-nay-nay".  She has friends that call her "Baby Nay-nay".  We all know she isn't a baby anymore but she is the baby of the group.  The other kids range from 2-4.  In the past few months, a new crop of babies were born and another crop are due in the coming months.  I'm sure soon the kids will drop 'baby'.
