This has been a mild winter and spring is upon us.
The Dorset Golden apple tree is in full bloom. This is one of our three apple trees we planted last January.
This tree requires the least amount of chill hours. Hopefully we'll have some apples this year.
We had red roses in bloom, too, until the gopher ate all of the roots.
Nothing but a nub left. I'm glad we have been investing in baskets to keep the gophers out of the fruit tree roots. Still this is a problem we need to get under control. Their tunnels run all throughout the yard. Sometimes you step down and the ground sinks :(
