Charlie's 1st Food: Avocado

Charlie and I have had a great breastfeeding relationship.  No issues like I had with Elena, though I'm sure taking off additional time from work really helps.  Now Charlie is 6-1/2 months, I suppose it is time to start introducing solid food.

On Saturday, February 15th, Charlie was presented with avocado chunks.
He played with it and scooted it to the side of his tray.  This is the first object he has not put in his mouth.  Not sure that's a good sign, as he loves to put everything in his mouth.
Carl tried putting a piece in his mouth but he spit it out.

On Monday, February 24th, I mushed avocado and fed Charlie with a spoon.
 I'd say he wasn't impressed.
 Confused
 Weary
"Really?  You are going to feed me this stuff?"  Gagg!
"Not so sure about this stuff"
"Thanks but I'll stick with milk!"

Charlie ate about a teaspoon, maybe a little more.  He did get the hang of swallowing the mashed avocado.  However, about 30 minutes after this, his cheeks flushed.  His right cheek was much redder and hot than his left cheek.  Not certain this was a reaction to the food or if something else was going but I held him extra long before bed just to make sure all was okay.
