It's been 1 week since Elena and I planted seeds in the garden.
We've had a few mis-steps...Cooper dug around in the carrot areas and Charlie dug up some green been seeds. But to my surprise, the left over seeds from last years garden are sprouting!!! Above you can see a row of green--that is lettuce!
Cucumbers! Last year we couldn't get the seeds to do much. This year the same seeds are sprouting like crazy! I think they like this weather a little better :) It has been cooler and yesterday we received some much needed rain! Well it was about 0.15" but enough to wet everything down a couple times yesterday and again this morning.
Sugar Peas! It's a bit late in the season for these guys but we're trying because the kids both love them so much!
A green bean is sprouting, yay!
We also have some basil popping up and a zucchini. It's going to be a yummy summer!!

Oh, I missed gardening so much. We didn't plant a fall garden last year because we thought we wouldn't be around to harvest it. Turns out, we would have enjoyed quite a bit of produce as it took us a bit longer to get ready to put on the market and then sell. I'm so glad the process is over and even happier to be back in the garden!
Hope it keeps on growing!
