Auntie M., my sister Megan, is here for a visit. Elena is just ecstatic. It has been a long week so to celebrate both Meg and the arrival of the weekend we went out to eat tonight. We often forget about Michael's Grill near our house but the food is yummy, the service has always been great. It's the kind of place that at first glance you wouldn't think it would be kid friendly but they are super sweet to Elena and even bring her food out early so she doesn't have to wait as long. Tonight the waitress came over and asked "Can I get you something to drink?" and Elena exclaimed "MILK! please". It was so cute to see my just turned two year old order for herself. We don't eat out often but it was like she was a pro. When the waitress came back to see what we wanted to order for dinner, Elena asked for pineapple. Unfortunately they didn't have any pineapple but Daddy had packed a plum which was equally tasty.
