First Bath, May 10th

Happy Mother's Day! Elena is now almost three weeks old and has been home from the hospital for two weeks. Her belly button has fallen off, so it's time for a bath!

Elena has the cutest bathing tub--it's a whale! The greatest thing about the tub is the infant seat insert which makes sure she doesn't slide down the tub. The insert comes out to make more room once she can sit up.

Our first bath had a little bit of crying; the water ran down her face. Once we had her cleaned up and dried off, she was quite content.

She is starting to keep her eyes open more often now. Her eye color is still the dark slate blue color they were at birth. It is hard to tell if she will have my brown eyes, Carl's blue eyes or something in between. Guess we will just have to wait and see! All clean and smelling great, Elena is dressed in her coming home outfit. It is still a little big on her, but it is so cute.

We had a nice, relaxing Mother's Day.
